Je reçois des enveloppes épaisses dans ma boîte aux lettres, de tous les coins de France. Je suis vraiment émue de voir qu’autant de personnes ont bien voulu participer de cette manière aux  Moments de Libération du Fil au mois d’avril.

I’m receiving thick envelopes in my mailbox, from all over France. I’m really moved to see that so many people want to participate in this way to the Moments de Libération du Fil event in April.

Les 13 et 14 avril prochains, le fil dans tous ses états est au programme des Moments de Libération du Fil (MLF). Je participerai à cette manifestation qui aura lieu à Villeurbanne (la ville collée-serrée à Lyon).

On April 13th and 14th, wool and fiber of all kinds will be celebrated at the Moments de Libération du Fil (tentative English translation: the Wool’s Liberation Moments). I will take part in the event, that takes place in Villeurbanne, a city very close to Lyon (France).

Je vous invite bien sûr à réserver les dates si vous serez à proximité le temps venu. Mais comme je suis responsable de la décoration des lieux, je vous propose aussi d’y participer, de près ou de loin, en crochetant une toile d’araignée!

I’m of course inviting you to come if you’re in the vicinity in April. But since I’m also responsible for the decoration of the venue, I’m also inviting you to participate, from near or far, by crocheting a spider’s web!

En effet, je vais essayer de créer une déco « yarn-bombing » arachnéenne, et pour cela j’ai besoin de beaucoup, beaucoup de toiles! Si vous avez envie de donner un peu de votre temps, et si vous avez sous la main un peu de fil que vous ne destinez pas à un autre projet (des restes, du vieux fil que vous n’aimez plus…), la fiche explicative ultra courte se trouve ici. Il faut penser « grand » et donc ne pas hésiter à doubler (ou tripler?) votre fil et utiliser un gros crochet.

I’m going for an « arachnean yarnbombing », and I will be needing many, many webs! If you want to give some of your time, and if you have some yarn that you don’t want to use in another projet at hand (left-overs, old yarn that you don’t like anymore…) the very short pattern is available here. These are XXL webs, so don’t hesitate to double (or triple?) your yarn and use a big hook.

Les toiles doivent m’être envoyées par la Poste au plus tard le 31 mars – tous les détails sont dans la fiche. Je ne pourrai pas vous les retourner, mais je vous promets de prendre plein de photos et les montrer ici sur le blog.

The webs must be mailed to me on March 31st at the latest – all the details can be found in the pattern. I can’t send them back to you, but I promise to take lots of pictures and show them here on the blog.
