C’est toujours le même coton bio mat et doux, facile à tricoter et à crocheter (en 3 – 3,5).

I think these colors are fabulous. However, could you please comment on when a matte cotton or cotton with sheen (mercerized?) is preferred? So far, I have used wool for shawls and scarves, linen for bags, and mercerized cotton with a sheen for small kitchen potholders. Thanks.
Matte vs sheen is mostly a personal preference. My personal opinion is that matte cotton is a bit more contemporary (less reminiscent of doilies, curtains and other traditional crocheted items), and I also prefer it to the touch.
I also think it’s important to note that mercerization of cotton is a chemical process, using caustic soda. This is why it isn’t used on organic cotton yarns.
