July 2008: I say hello
I had a great plan for this month’s newsletter. However, this plan required a specific accessory, and I haven’t been able to locate it in time. So, I now have a great plan for next month’s newsletter – but I don’t want to let the month of July pass without saying hello to all of you.
I will be leaving on summer vacation next week. With my family, I will spend three weeks in beautiful Sweden, the country where I was born and raised. I hope that in these three weeks there will be time for some peaceful crocheting on the terrace with a view over the lake. There will probably also be hours and hours of speedy deadline crocheting – but those are things I will not be able to discuss in detail before winter.
A few other things I hope to be able to discuss much sooner. Do you need a project before that? The other day, I was talking with one of my fabulous crocheters about the pleasure of crocheting simple squares. Why not check out the new French crochet-along Crochet and the City to collect some nice ideas for square-based projects for long, lazy summer days.
Charge your batteries – when the weather cools down, I’ll be back with plenty of new, interesting and fun patterns and ideas!
